While the Moon always keeps the same face to Earth, it’s not exactly the same. The tilt and shape of the Moon’s orbit slightly changes what is visible to us – making it look like it “wobbles”. This is called the Librational Wobble. The name of this cocktail is a nod to this term, with a slight twist of course!
The base spirit of this cocktail is Ransom Old Tom Gin. Ransom Spirits is located in Oregon, the first state where the total solar eclipse will first become visible. This cocktail is a twist on the classic Casino recipe, as published in the 1930 in The Savoy Cocktail Book.
